This modern cabin house design is located in Chesapeake, an island named Hoopers Island near Blackwater National Wildlife shelter which was once ever destroyed by natural disaster. The cabin designed here is inspired mostly by the barns designs that survived the Isabel Hurricane in 2003. This cabin project design of David Jameson Architect is made from three main structures consists the guest cabin, saloon and a small winery, where all are designed to meet customer needs.

The cabin house design is situated between swampy area but also rich with pine forest and bay. The challenge given to the USA architecture was to design a residence that can withstand natural disaster as well as a housing design that fit in to the environment. The David Jameson Architect has done it quite well, and the cabin residence built here blends well and more over this modern cabin housing has won numerous awards, one is the 2009 AIA National Housing Award.

The small cabin residence here is slightly lifted is off the ground to hinder it from flood. With three different cabins designs, you can use these cabins as independent space or together, depending on how the visitors want to use it.
