MARDI HIMAL is the name given to the feature of the long ridge and its summit that forms the south-western lower slope of Mount Machhapuchhare - the famous traingular skyline that is seen from the Phewa Lake at Pokhara. As the name implies, the term "fish tail" means "fish tail". Machhapuchhare is the most southerly point of the Annapurna Massif, the majestic grouping of mountains in the central Himalayas that includes 5 of the 12 highest mountains in the world! - All at close or very close quarters to our route.
ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREK : Few places in the world have such a splendid variety of natural beauty as the Annapurna region. GHOREPANI (Poonhill) TREK : For those with only a few days to spare, the Ghorepani trek is a great short foray into the Annapurna region. The trail winds through patchwork of valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where you can stop to cool your face. Around every corner is a tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains, the whole horizons of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek.
